- A few of the low-cost modem makers (including ATi) started shipping
- 19.2k v32terbos about the same time V.FC modems started appearing.
- Nobody really expected modem makers to jump the gun on v34 by
- releasing V.FC modems so a few companies decided that v32terbo modems
- would be good as something to appease customers too impatient to wait

- I bought a Cardinal MVP19.2k over 2 years ago for about the same price
- as a decent 14.4 back then. It's been very reliable and I haven't had
- any problems at all. Even though it's pretty outdated now (I've since
- acquired a 33.6k Sporster) I feel I got my money's worth since it's
- considerably faster than 14.4 and most BBS's and my ISP (actually, my
- university) use Courier modems which support v32terbo.
